A better title for this post would’ve been You Gotta Like These Kids, but I don’t think we’re quite there yet. The San Francisco Giants have won four games in a row, which is a genuine winning streak. They did it because three young position players had a fantastic weekend.
Baseball is an impossible sport that frustrates when it’s not outright disappointing and builds up our excitement just to tear us down. For a lot of Giants fans, seeing Heliot Ramos, Luis Matos (okay, mainly Luis Matos), and Marco Luciano play together and play very, very well is water in a desert — a cluster of good fortune that can’t help but make one excited to see what’s next.
